THIS 1953 T100 RACE KIT TRIUMPH HAS CLEAR TITLE AND MATCHING ENGINE AND FRAME NUMBERS.  
FOR THOSE NOT FAMILIAR.  A LITTLE HISTORY........
When Triumph announced that its alloy engine Grand Prix production racer would no longer be in their lineup after 1949, fans of British bikes were hoping that it wouldn??�t be the end of the road for go-faster twins from the factory. The 500cc GP was based on the bike that Irish farmer Ernie Lyons had raced to victory in the 1946 Isle of Man Manx GP - hence the name of the production version T100GP. While Edward Turner was not a fan of using competition as a platform to help sell Triumph motorcycles,  it was undeniable that it drove the "Win on Sunday, sell on Monday" mentality. Hence, the race kit offered from Triumph to take a stock 500 alloy motorcycle and change it into a racing machine. The race kit was offered in catalogs from the late 1940s to 1955 when the swinging arm frames were introduced. 
THIS VERY CORRECT EXAMPLE WAS DONE BY MY FRIEND,  THE LATE ROGER JONES WHOS REPUTATION SPEAKS VOLUMES OF THE WORK CARRIED OUT.            THIS 1953 RACE KITTED EXAMPLE SPORTS THE CORRECT & ORIGINAL RACE KIT ITEMS SUCH AS THE LARGE CAPACITY OIL TANK , ORIGINAL CORRECT 276AO & 276AN TWIN AMAL CARBURETORS WITH REMOTE FLOAT. NOS SMITHS PETROFLEX FUEL LINES, REAR SET REAR FRAME SECTION, ALLOY AMAL THROTTLE, SMITHS RC126 REV COUNTER AND DRIVE, FOLDING KICK LEVER & PRIMARY SIDE FOOTREST. NOTE THE VERY RARE LUCAS RACING MAGNETO AND EVEN THE FINER DETAILS OF THE KLG SPARK PLUGS & CORRECT END CAPS. THE CAD PLATING OF THE ORIGINAL HARDWARE IS SPOT ON CORRECT AGAINST BRILLIANT PAINTWORK. BESIDES THE CHEST PAD ,  NUMBER PLATE & TIRES I AM UNAWARE OF ANY REPRODUCTION PARTS USED. EVERYTHING IS GENUINE & OEM OTHERWISE. THE ENGINE HAS MATCHING CASE HALF NUMBERS AND HAS BEEN REBUILT FROM THE CRANKSHAFT UP WITH PERFECT ALLOY FINS ON THE CYLINDER AND HEAD.  THE PICTURES ARE THE BEST DESCRIPTION SO PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY AT THE AMAZING DETAIL. WHILE THE PICTURES SHOW THE DETAIL,  THE TRIUMPH HAS A FEEL IN PERSON THAT PICTURES SIMPLY CANNOT CAPTURE. THIS EXAMPLE IS REALLY FLAWLESS. I AM HAPPY TO SHOW THIS MOTORCYCLE ANYTIME TO SERIOUS BUYERS. THIS 1953 T100 RACE KIT MOTORCYCLE IS PART OF A GROUP OF 3 WITH THE OTHER 2 BEING A T100C AND A STANDARD ROAD GOING T100. THE BUYER OF THIS RACE KIT MODEL WILL HAVE FIRST RIGHT OF REFUSAL ON THE OTHER 2 WHICH ARE ALSO IN CONCOURSE CONDITION . NEED MORE PICTURES ?
