For your consideration is a very unique 1965 Honda CB160 racer. Frame number B160-[hidden information]. Engine number B160E-[hidden information]. Wire harness tag reads 1964. Clear California title in my name. The idea behind the bike, was to build a racer with materials that would have been available in 1965.. Honda CB77 superhawk bits were used in the build. Foot controls, rear brake cable and center stand assist bar are all from 1965 Honda Superhawk. The seat is custom made from the original '65 seat pan and has a brake light added as well as suede leather upholstery. It will fit on any stock CB160! Everything red has been powder coated. The front rim is polished aluminum 18" Akront and the rear is a polished aluminum 18" D.I.D. rim...both from the 60's, and both have Avon Roadrider tires and stainless steel spokes on them. ( laced by Buchanan rim and spoke) There are no fenders on the bike due to the wider rims and larger race tires. I have the front fender, but not the rear. Both front and rear wheel hubs are polished aluminum with brand new brake shoes. Front hub and sprocket cover are drilled and vented.. Triple clamp, engine covers, and control switches are polished aluminum. Carbs have been removed, cleaned and rebuilt. They have polished aluminum velocity stacks made by Steel Dragon Performance. I also have a polished brass set that are included in the sale. Custom made stainless steel rear suspension by Hagon Shocks. Re-chromed exhaust headers, gas tank panels, gas cap, chain adjusters, headlight bezel, fork lowers, fork caps, and foot controls. New chrome, "pea shooter" mufflers added. New D.I.D. chain, and Shorai sealed battery (under seat) Custom made battery pan is removable. New fork seals. Gas tank sealed by GTL of Los Angeles. There is a raised spot at the rear of the tank closest to the driver. Im not sure what the cause is but I have an additional gas tank that will be included in the sale. Tank does not leak! This gem is electric start or bump start only. Kick start lever was removed to accommodate the CB77 Superhawk rear sets. She starts right up with the powerful Shorai battery (135 CCA) and settles to idle perfectly. No leaks, no strange noises! New NGK spark plugs, and fresh oil. New chrome clubman handleabrs drilled and wires run internally. I have the horn but it is not on the bike. Its in beautiful shape and works perfectly and is included. She runs great and shifts smoothly through all 4 gears. The bike has had some use (approx.100) miles since completion. It is a beautiful bike but does show some signs of light use and oxidation from being close to the ocean. Speedometer works great and shows 651 miles. I don't know if this is original mileage but this was the speedo on the bike at the time of purchase. Here is your opportunity to own a unique Honda "period" cafe build! A lot of time and money went into this project! I may have left something out, so please ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE. I can help with Domestic and International shipping. Please remember, SHIPPING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the bike is being sold locally. Located in Orange County California zip code 92835. Contact me for video of the motorcycle running and driving.
