Contact to the Seller
Hello to allHere's a beautiful 99% complete 1967 triple matching bmw R60/2 that is being sold whole or in parts.....you let me know what you want, the whole thing or sections of the bikeThis was a frame up restoration that started with a frame and empty case....Consequently most of the motorcycle consists of new parts....the paint is perfect, with hand striping....This is a PARTIAL list of new parts.....NEW: crankshaft, timing gears (+2), new clutch, new old stock cylinders (standard...yes NOS....try and find a set of those), new lifters, new deeper oil pan, new exhaust headers, all new bearings and seals, rebuilt gearbox by an old bmw tech in minneapolis, new tires, new spokes, new air tubes, one new rim (other one polished), new valve covers, new shocks front and back, one set of new brake pads (other ones were beautiful), new luggage rack, new headlamp lens and brow, new shock covers front and rear.....just way too many new parts to list....a bmw guru (you all know his name) did the wiring harness and repaired the board, put in a new key and switch (have the reciept)....the bottom end was assembled by a premier vintage bmw restoration outfit out of new york, at considerable expense to me (have the reciepts), frame and swingarm powder coated (new bearings of course), etc etc ps....check out the taillight guard....ever seen one of those before????.....have new mirrors and matching front headlamp guard....also have two air cleaner assemblies.....one powder coated pss....NO CARBS..... So you ask.....why on earth wouldn't this guy just get some carbs and away we go.....I went to register it a day ago and found out that the province/state next to mine (Ontario) had in 1980 assigned the exact same 6 digit serial number to a 2 door right hand drive sedan imported from Japan....they offered me a new vin tag, but that would be sacrilege...can you imagine ....screwing in a vin tag on a perfectly good triple matching, clean numbers bmw sounded like total nonsense .... Anyway, since I wont' run it with a new vin, up for sale it all goes...two years of slowly bringing her back to life....the numbers are good in the USA, just no title...bill of sale only.... will part out but will not disassemble the motor or gearbox (may pull the top end).....and please, if you're interested in some parts of the bike DO NOT make me ridiculous offers...they won't be responded to...so if youre interested in frame and motor....front end, gearbox...whatever...let me know..... Please feel free (if you're a serious buyer) to ask for detailed pics of any part of the motorcycle and for the receipts to see who it was that did the work.....I'll try and get more up of the perfect paint.....beautiful rechromed parts, etc.... I have sold vintage bmws on ebay before... ps....will ship in crates.....FREE SHIPPING with BUY IT NOW, yes free shipping in crates for the whole thing with buy it now....reserve is considerably lower.... kind regards....
