“Thousands of dollars went into this Honda CB750 to make this classic beauty shine again. All the major components were rebuilt -- forks, brakes, wheels, carbs. Many new parts -- exhaust, cables, side cover, mirror. The bike is tuned to perfection and ready to ride across country if you wanted.”
This is one of the nicest 1976 Honda CB750Ks that you will see anywhere. It is in spectacular condition from the headlight to the taillight and everything between.
Everything that needed to be tended to, repaired or replaced, was done according to the Honda Service Manual, using only genuine OEM parts when available.
Work worth mentioning that was done on the bike: 1. New exhaust system made in Japan by same factory that made the originals 2. Rebuilt carburetors (new internal parts, carb dust boots and carb insulator boots) 3. Rebuilt front forks with new seals, tubes, oil and Progressive Suspension springs 4. Rebuilt front and rear brakes with new pads and shoes 5. Rebuilt brake master cylinder and front brake caliper 6. Rebuilt front and rear wheels with new D.I.D. rims, Buchannan stainless-steel spokes, Dunlop K70 tires and inner tubes 7. New throttle and clutch cables 8. Tachometer rebuilt by a professional restorer
I was willing to take this bike down to the bare frame and rebuild it from the wheels up if needed. The frame is in excellent condition and did not need anything. The wiring harness hasn't been hacked up and all the electricals work as they should. Any rubber parts that required attention were replaced. Every chrome bit shines brightly (even the undersides of the fenders look good).
The engine has about 14,200 miles and runs as strong as any CB750K I've owned (this is my fourth). It has been maintained and tuned by the book. I wish I could keep it but I have my eye on a different kind of ride.
The original Antares Red paint is excellent for a bike that is more than 40 years old. There are no major scratches or other flaws or obvious fading. There are some very small chips and an area on the tank where the paint is worn by the underside of the seat (you can't see when the seat is down). One side cover is an excellent replacement that I purchased from Yamiya in Japan. All the emblems and badges are original.
The toolkit is complete; the original owner's manual is included too (it's not in excellent condition).
I will not help you ship but can be available whenever your transport person needs to come.
