:“This bike has fewer than 50,000 miles, runs and stops well, and is a lot of fun to ride! It came with crash guards with an integrated sidestand, as well as an aftermarket handlebar-mounted windscreen and a Corbin custom saddle. I have the original exhaust, but the one on it is not stock and looks like it weighs much less than the original system. Everything works, including the standard equipment(!) heated handgrips.”

This bike is stock except for the items listed above, as far as I know. There are small LED lights in the front and a red flashing brake lights feature that was added, plus a Brown sidestand, which is vastly better than the original. I have had them on all of my airheads, and they are stronger and easier to use. I took off the engine guards since I had no intention of riding off-road except for the occasional fire road on tour or some-such, and I removed the fairing as well. The saddles can be swapped out in seconds with the push of one button. That Corbin saddle probably cost a lot, but I sort of prefer the original, which is flawless. The brakes are NOT ABS, but work very well. (I am used to the TLS drum brakes on my other Beemers, so my view is neither objective nor well-informed; nor is it particularly up-to-date. All I know is that this bike stops fine in L.A. traffic whereas its 50-year-old stablemates have contributed to my death--nearly--several times.)The saddlebags are in good condition, but the top-box that comes with it is lacking part of the mounting hardware, so sadly cannot be installed just now. Those items coupled with a tank bag, which I could include with the bike or for a price, would make this a very practical sport-touring machine. This is the last incarnation of the air-cooled BMW boxer engines, and BMW stopped production of all airheads in 1995, I believe. All in all, this is a bike that will readily take its new owner tens of thousands of miles without complication, theoretically.I did not plan to ship this item, but can work with a seller to get it picked up from me within a FEW days and after payment is complete.
