Up for your consideration is my 2007 BMW r1200rt. I bought the bike about 5 years ago with 100,000 miles on it!! at a BMW shop near Kansas City, MO. After talking with the previous owner about miles and reasons for selling I decided to purchase. (He rode it ALL the time in any season). Well as you can see from the miles on it now, 107,000, it's very much a fair weathered bike for me. I've taken a couple cross country jaunts and it does extremely well. Very comfortable and solid. I put in a new drive shaft a couple years ago. I change the oil myself yearly and anything else gets done via my towns expert bike shop. The bike runs strong and has a ton of fun left in her. I just don't ride much anymore so it's just another license and insurance bill for nought. The only issue I know of deals with the BC (onBoard Computer) button. Pushing that scrolls through 3 or 4 pages...ie, fuel gauge, outside temp., mpgs, mph (in digital readout although a regular dial is in the main cluster). It scrolls through them BUT the info isn't reliable. Since I know it gets about 50 mpg and goes about 350 miles on a tank, I just reset the trip and get gas at 300 miles. Problem solved....unless you want to spend???? however much at BMW for these unnecessary readouts. The GREAT luxuries the bike does have are, Heated seats, Heated grips, Electric windscreen, and cruise control. Any questions 660 call 216 this 0440 number. Thanks for looking!
