1981 Bimota KB1 Series 3. W reg. Currently on SORN. MOT expired on 18.7.20. Mileage: 63,032km (39,166 miles), so less than a thousand miles for each of its 40 years. Becomes tax and MOT exempt this year. One former keeper. Totally original model, apart from a Pingel Hi-Flo fuel tap and a Wilbers rear monoshock. In great original unrestored condition with honest patina. Believed to be originally a German model, identified by the rectangular headlight and fairing-mounted oil cooler and indicators. Becoming increasingly rare: ideal for the collector, enthusiast, restorer (but the patina’s great), general rider or Classic Trackday enthusiast (see pics!) Runs perfectly. Receipts for new chain and sprocket, carb set-up, carb rebuild work (they were leaking slightly) and Continental Classic Racing tyres. Comes with info pack and reproduction of original Bimota parts list & numbers. Featured in Practical Sportsbikes magazine and Classic Bike. A good, honest, “survivor” bike that looks much better as it is than to be restored. After all, things are only original once! V5c in my name at home address.
