Here is a strange beast. This is a 1950s Plunger BSA A10 Golden Flash plunger model which has a 400cc Honda Super dream engine in it. For those who wish to check, the reg is FSL 931. It is classed as historic, so is tax and MOT exempt, and does reflect both 400cc and the Honda engine number in the log book, so has all been registered correctly with the DVLA at some point in the past. So, this starts on the button and seems to run OK. So, this maybe ideal for someone who is struggling with kick starting a bike now, but still wants to ride a classic bike. All the lights work and it seems to ride around OK. It is a bit throaty with those silencers on and it was a bit smoky, but seemed to run and pull OK on the little test run I did. It could do with a bit of tiding up but is ideal to use as is. I would say it is a ride or restore prospect. but given the mixed engine type and frame its probably not an ideal candidate for a concourse resto anyway. I think this is for the man who wants a Brit bike, with electric start and the reliability of a Jap bike. There must be that man out there somewhere. Either way, this is a big novelty. I like the Bantam engine covers fixed onto either side of the engine as well. Viewing is OK with me, subject to social distancing etc. 07718 [hidden information].
