Here we have for sale my fantastic learner legal 124cc Honda CLR motorbike. bought the bike nearly four months ago, and its has since been used times week for 12hr Food delivery shifts. It pulls strong and has easily mastered these long day shifts through both the heat and the cold. Its fantastic little bike and I'll be sad to see it go. I'm selling as I'm relocating to London for 9-5 job. The price is reflective of both my quick time-frame to sell, and the imperfections of what is 17 year old motorbike with 24k miles on the clock. It's MOT'd until May 2018, with the only advisory from last year being the minor exhaust leak.
Who should buy this bike; It'll make perfect cheap winter round town commuter, or for someone wanting to get into food delivery with the likes of Deliveroo or Just Eat. It's also the ideal super cheap winter project to stop the boredom setting in. These bikes are rare in comparison to its Honda CG125 brother. They benefit from higher riding height (Seat height 815mm) and much much better styling in my mind to. Ive seen some great vintage brat and scrambler conversions of these and did buy the bike with this in mind for this winter period, however without garage or space in London the bikes got to go.
Bikes condition - Recent oil change (60 miles ago)- changed the chain and both sprockets 1500 miles ago- put Halfords upgraded headlight bulb which is good- There is small leak in the exhaust (before the silencer), however this is nothing major and the bike runs fine with it. - Ive only run the bike on Shell 99 octane fuel for my 3800 miles of ownership. I've also used couple of bottles of fuel clean and it is running better for it. - Small tear in the seats stitching (left side). - Front and rear indicators although fully functional, could use replacing- Bike starts ok with choke, once warm its runs absolutely fine. will give the carb clean if get time over the weekend. - Tires both front and rear have good depth of tread left Overall the bike is in good working order and its served me really well over my four months. I've really enjoy riding it and the exhaust note will certainly put smile on your face (for 124 its good). However it is rough around the edges from wear and tear of 17 years of riding. Its sold as seen but I'm confident in the bike to do many thousands of miles more its bleeding Honda! It could benefit from someone with the time and energy to work through the bike and bring it back to factory like condition these go for over £1000 on Ebay currently, and feel they will one day be bit of collectors piece too which will help with future values.
