1996 HONDA RVF400R Selling my superb 1996 Honda RVF400R (NC35) in classic Rothmans colours. The NC35 was the smaller capacity Japanese market version of the mighty RC45. Easily the fastest and best handling learner legal bike. Will still do over 210kph. Now becoming very collectable, especially in this condition. Completely rebuilt mechanically and cosmetically about 7000km ago, with sensible mods (see below). Very hard to find one in this condition now. Speedo was showing less than 11000km before it was rebuilt. The engine and gearbox were like new, brakes and cooling system were overhauled and all bearings/seals replaced. Sold with 12 months NSW registration. Absolutely nothing to spend. Modifications include Yoshimura silencer, upgraded headlights with start relay (to reduce battery drain) and LED tail light conversion looks identical to original. The rest of the exhaust system is original, including the heat shields. All locks use the ignition key, and it comes with the spare original key. Near new AGM battery, and fitted with CTEK charger lead under the pillion seat. The NC35 was never sold new in Australia. This one was imported from Japan in 2008 and fitted with an Australian compliance plate, so no registration hassles. The only blemishes are small crack just under the screen on the fairing (looks like fairing bolts tightened too far). Not visible in the pics. Also, when was out riding it recently, the turn signal lamp on the dash stopped working. Looks like the bulb is gone the signals are working perfectly. I have number of spares if the buyer is interested. Another full set of Rothmans bodywork (see pic), an original silencer in good condition and one of the excellent Clymer workshop manuals. will offer these separately to the successful bidder, if required. This is lovely bike which attracts attention everywhere it goes, but have far too many bikes and am out of space! Inspection welcome and recommended. Message me on eBay with any questions or to arrange viewing. No test rides, but you can see running of course. Remember you are bidding to buy, not to look. If you have less than five positive feedback on your eBay account, please contact me before bidding. Sorry, but this is necessary because of the small minority who spoil it for genuine bidders. Transport if needed will be at buyers expense, but happy to assist with pickup etc Good luck if you're bidding. Enjoy looking if you're not.
