This is my Royal Enfield Bullet Scrambler, which have owned for four years The bike was made in 1953 and exported new to Denmark. It was repatriated in 2013, when registered it in the UK.This is very rare model. According to the Royal Enfield Owners' Club only handful were ever made and this is the only known survivor. The Dating Officer and Chairman of the Owners' Club came to see the bike when first got it as they had never seen one in the metal. It is not mint and has some honourable battle scars (see photos)The engine is all alloy at time when the standard bike had an iron barrel and the gearbox does not have the standard neutral selector, as was normal with the competition engines. You could regard this as the predecessor of the "Big Head" BulletAs the engine runs perfectly well have not been inside it except to set the tappets and change oil and filters, so cannot say for certain that the the scrambler cams and piston are still there after all this time. However can stand on the kick starter and without the decompressor it is almost impossible to kick the engine over. The carburettor is incorrect, it should be the earlier 276 type with separate float chamber. can tell you that the bike is flyer The most noticeable thing about the bike is the weight, or rather the lack of it. It really is amazingly light for 500.The bike is of course tax and MOT free.I must point out one thing though. The bike was caught in the Boxing day floods of 2015, along with most of my other bikes, and was declared Cat write off by the insurance company. However there was no physical damage and immediately drained and inhibited the engine and transmission, changed all oils and filters several times and checked the wheel bearings etc thoroughly. There have been no problems at all since then. The bike was rewired just after got it as the loom was past its best. One little touch, shown on one of the photos, is NOS Britax "Twistdip". had had this for years waiting for the right bike !So, there you have it. very rare and collectable but very useable bike. am only selling as am not as young as was (it comes to us all and am concentrating on my lightweights, including 1934 Royal Enfield 150 cc. This is by no means heavy, quite the contrary, but is heavier than now feel happy with. Buyer collects, £150 deposit via paypal, balance by cash or bankers draft. Please, no messers or dreamers !Any queries please email via ebay or call 07759 [hidden information]
