R1 4XV 1999 - reg - Y124 DRE - Track Bike Project.
I bought this bike at the end of 2016 and did some light road work before turning it into a track bike.
The bike never let me down but i had a high-side at rockingham 2 years ago leading to damage on the following with repairs in brackets - fairings (full new set installed now need a few patches and spraying) - tank split (new tank installed but has two dints that need filling and spraying) - Clip ons (new ones now installed) - Top Yoke (needs replacing) - Rear sets bent (straightened out) - Double bubble (full black spare) - Rear subframe (straightened) - Exhaust hanger (new one included)
- Exhaust scraped at tip - Brake lever scraped (see photo) - Crash bungs destroyed but saved the casings.
The bikes engine fires up with no smoking knocks or rattles and holds temp perfectly. The gearbox selects all gears when on the stands but the clutch is stuck due to being sat still for 2 years. The bike was damaged but i have it now as per the photos i just have no time to get it finished. The bike needs some cosmetic tlc to be smart again. Jobs needed to finish - line front end up bars and yoke - Electrics all work just need tidying on left side to sit behind fairing. - Exhaust hanger drilling and fitting with rivnuts - New Choke lever or pully, cable is still there and works perfect - Cutch seized. Bike fires up and runs through all the gears on paddock stand will need plates soaking to free them up. - Side stand fitting if wanted but is included - Tyres swapping - Rear under seat cowl fitting Upgrades on the bike includes - - Yoshi full pipe passes sound test easy - Hi Flow filter - Upgraded hoses - Upgraded brake lines for track - Upside down gear selection 1 up 5 down (easy swapped back) - uprated clocks with speedo removed but sensor included - Keyless ignition - Clip ons - Fully adjustable rear sets
-R6 2007 Rear Subframe conversion. Sharpens up the rear end Spares included (at the right price)- Paddock stands- Tyre Warmers- Ohlins Zx10r steering damper with fork clamp (needs fitting)- Spare part worn SC3 supercorsas to get it going again
- New front disc rotors - New upgraded front pads - Haynes Manual This bike would make a great bombproof track bike or a base for a GP1 Classic racing platform in Thundersport with a couple of weekends tidying up. All the parts are there just needs someone with more time than i have or will have for a long time. I have probably missed loads so feel free to ask questions.
